Experience The Top NH Ford Dealer - Irwin Ford

What makes NH Ford dealers so great? Well, we like to think that part of the reason stems from the brand we sell. Ford! What symbol is more American than Ford Motor Company?

We all have heard the story of Henry Ford. A true American industrialist who was the founder of the Ford Motor Company. His use of the assembly line technique gave birth to mass production of automobiles.

When in 1904, Henry Ford introduced the Model-T he could never have imagined that it would have become a symbol of the American automobile industry that is respected even today.

By 1941, Ford would own and operate the largest assembly plant in the world. In part because of the success of the Model-T and models that followed. During World War II, Ford Motor Company would go on to create vehicles for military use but also B-24 Liberator bombers and even tanks.

When Henry died in 1947 a reported seven million people paid their final respects at his funeral.

Ford continued to produce legendary vehicles such as the Thunderbird (1955), the F-1 truck (1948) and the Mustang (1964). With a dedication to developing and implementing the latest technologies in their cars, Ford Motor Company continues to be one of the most important carmakers in the world.

Ford F-Series Trucks Continue to Rise in Popularity

The F-Series pickup from Ford continues to be the most demanded truck for those looking for reliability coupled with strength and ruggedness. For example, the full-size F-Series truck from Ford, has has seen increased demand for September of 2015.

Sales continue to be impressive and continue to rise, reaching over 70,000 trucks in the hands of happy new truck owners just in the month of September. Overall, that is a huge increase of close to 16% compared to last year. NH Ford dealers have rejoiced! It has been the best September sales month since 2006.

What a great year for Ford! You'll see the factories and legendary assembly lines increasing out more and more F-Series trucks in order to fill dealership inventory. In other words....New Hampshire Ford dealers will soon see even more trucks on the lot - supply and demand!

Customers have been flocking to the new EcoBoost engine option. Out of all the 64% of F-150 retail sales, those were the EcoBoost engine option. We'll highlight the EcoBoost option below so you can get an idea of what all the "hub-bub" is about.

The EcoBoost engine is currently in about 733,000 vehicles in the U.S.

What is EcoBoost?

In NH, Ford is a very popular truck for work and play. Earlier, we mentioned that the Ford EcoBoost has been making an impression with Ford owners....so what is it?

We've tried to give you a good look at the Ford EcoBoost system in the next few paragraphs. For sure, there are a lot of complicated technologies to go over and help you better understand.

A Simple Look

So, to try and give you a simple explanation of the whole process is nearly impossible. There are a lot of things to go over. But, with that said, the simple explanation is that EcoBoost a marriage of turbocharging and direct fuel injection. It is designed to improve fuel economy but does not sacrifice the power of the engine. There...we've said it. That is the simple explanation, but it doesn't really explain how the technology works. Let's break it down.

Turbocharging

Just the word "turbocharge" is so powerful. It conjures up images of throwing your head back and going down the highway like a rocket. It isn't really like that, but one can wish. One hallmark of Ford EcoBoost is its engines are turbocharged. The reality is that a turbocharged engine uses technology that will force more air into the engine. Remember science class? More air and more fuel make more combustion. More combustion means more "get up n go".

That little technologic device is called a turbocharger. Call it a "supercharger" or a "booster" or (if you are from New England) "A Boo-stah" it still does the same thing.

The other great benefit of that turbocharger is with that added power comes efficiency. Efficiently running engines mean decreasing gas mileage. That is a huge benefit.

Direct Injection

The other important factor in Ford's EcoBoost is the fuel injection. It's a direct gasoline injection. Direct injection sends fuel into an engine. Simple right? Well, there is more to it. A typical fuel injection uses the intake tract to inject the fuel. With a direct injection system, that part is cut out that entirely. It makes the process much quicker. Quickness will improve efficiency.

So, why is this so popular and should you get it?
In reality, there is no negative to the EcoBoost. But, the necessity of it could depend on your situation. It this point, almost all Ford models now offer EcoBoost as an option.

Bottom line, tt adds power and makes your acceleration must faster without sucking down everything in your gas tank. Supercharged engines are exciting for sure and you will love the power. If you are someone who doesn't need the extra power or fuel efficiency, then EcoBoost might not excite you but who doesn't like power and efficiency?

Fords in NH are used to the rugged terrain and the fluctuating gas prices. We here at Irwin Ford highly recommend you take a close look at the EcoBoost on any of the Ford models we offer at our state of the art dealership.
