2016 Hyundai Compacts and Hatchbacks

2016 Hyundai Veloster Turbo

This category is a strong one for Hyundai. With the 2016 Elantra, 2016 Accent, and 2016 Veloster to choose from in this category, Hyundai has a strong presence in the compact hatchback market. Take a look at each of these models below, and what makes them unique for the new 2016 model year.

  • 2016 Hyundai Elantra: Starting at just $17,250, the newest Elantra model offers a new trim level, and more standard features to the existing ones. The newest trim level, the Value Edition, offers drivers impressive standard features such as a power sunroof, push-button start, alloy wheels, a touchscreen display, and steering wheel-mounted controls. The impressively equipped version of the 2016 Elantra starts at just $19,700 - making it live up to its name. The 2016 Elantra Limited model includes keyless entry with push button start, and a dual zone automatic climate control system. The Sport trim level no longer comes standard with leather seating, or a sunroof - but has a lower starting MSRP by nearly $1,500.
  • 2016 Hyundai Accent: This sporty subcompact model is still the least expensive in the entire Hyundai lineup, starting at just $14,745. It is offered in both a sedan or hatchback body style. The 2016 Accent remains largely the same as the outgoing model, with the only difference being that the base model for both the sedan and hatchback is the SE trim level.
  • 2016 Hyundai Veloster: The newest iteration of Hyundai’s most unique vehicle, received numerous updates and changes for 2016. The three-door hatchback starts at $18,000, and offers younger drivers an appealing option over competitors.

The exterior of the 2016 Veloster features a revised grille and hood, which makes the model stand out from the outgoing version.

The navigation system that comes optional on the Veloster was given various updates and changes for 2016.

Turbo versions of the 2016 Veloster feature a seven-speed automated manual transmission, also new for this year.

All new for the 2016 Veloster lineup, is an upscale and sporty Rally Edition trim level. Featuring a sport-tuned suspension, 18-inch wheels, and racing inspired badging and shifter, the Rally Edition is ready for drivers who want a more performance-oriented ride.

2016 Hyundai Sedans

2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid

The 2016 Hyundai lineup of sedans include the Sonata, and the Azera. Check out what each one offers for their newest model years, below:

  • 2016 Hyundai Sonata: Starting at $21,750, the Hyundai Sonata remains largely unchanged from the 2015 model year. For that model year, the Sonata was completely redesigned, given new engine options, exterior design, interior amenities, and more. This year’s Sonata is just as impressive as the 2015 version, and also comes with minor technology updates.
  • 2016 Hyundai Azera: Starting at $34,100, the full-size sedan offers luxury details, without the high-end price tag of the Genesis. Drivers can choose from the base or Limited trim level, each offering surprising features and performance.

2016 Hyundai SUVs

2016 Hyundai Sante Fe Sport

Hyundai offers two options in the SUV segment - the Tucson, or the Santa Fe. Both SUVs are impressive, and affordable for the 2016 model year. Check out the details of each of these great options, below.

  • 2016 Hyundai Tucson: This version of the popular compact crossover is completely new for the 2016 model year. Marking the start of the Tucson’s third generation, the 2016 base model starts at just $22,700. The new SUV is larger, offers new standard features, a turbocharged engine, ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof. This version of the Tucson is certainly the best one yet.
  • 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe: The 2016 Santa Fe has the option to seat up to seven passengers, a new occupant number for the SUV. The 2016 Santa Fe starts at $30,400, and comes with a more simplified interior option list, a larger interior space, and the previous GLS trim, is now known as the SE.

2016 Hyundai Luxury Models

2016 Hyundai Genesis

One thing that Hyundai does very well, is luxury vehicles. With both the Genesis and the Equus, Hyundai has the upper hand on a segment that is generally reserved for names like Mercedes, and BMW. Check out what the 2016 versions of these luxury vehicles have in store:

  • 2016 Hyundai Genesis: This luxury sedan starts out surprisingly low, at just $38,750. The impressively equipped sedan offers just two trim levels, the base 3.8, or the upscaled, 5.0 Ultimate. Other than minor technology updates, the 2016 Genesis remains similar to the outgoing model.
  • 2016 Hyundai Equus: Hyundai’s top of the line in both Luxury and amenities, is the Equus sedan. Starting at $61,500, the Equus comes with a standard 429 horsepower, and an 8-speed Shiftronic automatic transmission. The latest model year for Hyundai’s most exclusive vehicle gains a hands-free smart trunk to the Ultimate trim level. Other than that, the Equus remains unchanged for 2016.

An Impressive Model Year for Hyundai

All of the vehicles in the 2016 Hyundai lineup are impressive ones. Whether they received complete redesigns, or remained the same from last year, the Hyundai lineup is just as reliable as it ever has been.
